How it works
Our dream is raising cattle and providing quality beef to you and our community. In our home, we value where our beef & meat comes from and even more so, we value supporting small US farms. At B&B we strive to keep our cattle happy and healthy as well as hormone-free.
Our mission is to provide your family with quality beef - from our farm to your family.
Beef
Our cattle are primarily Hereford's. We enjoy working with them as their docility allows for ease of management while they still produce high quality beef with beautiful marbling for top-notch steaks and premium cuts.
A bit more about our farm- we breed our cows and heifers here on farm (thanks to our bulls, PeeWee & BoBo). Once calved, we do a check on cow & calf and then allow the calf to stay with his/her mama until it's time to ween them. From that point, the heifers will be held to continue to grow our herd and the steers are then used for beef.
About our Cattle
- Place your deposit to preorder your 1/2 beef share
- While you wait for your processing date, please know we are working hard here at Barn and Branch Farm to raise our cattle to be happy and healthy.
- Prep your chest/upright freezer to have ample space for your bulk freezer beef. We recommend 12-14 cu. ft. of freezer for 1/2 beef.
- We will notify you once it's heading to butcher and you will receive a call when it is time to do the cut sheet.
- Once we get the hanging weight of the beef we will invoice you with the remaining balance to be paid before you pickup beef from processor.
- Once your beef is vacuum-packed, frozen and boxed, you will receive a call, text or email notifying you to pickup.
- You will pay the butcher the processing fees at pickup.
- Promptly put your beef in freezer after pickup and be sure to check your freezer tempurature daily
