We’re the Bowers family here at Barn and Branch Farm in Keymar, MD, our business originally known as RFB Farming, LLC.
I’m Tara- mom of 4, farm wife, photographer, and creator. My husband is Bobby, the one who runs the equipment, harvests the fields and tends to the cattle…a true farmer at heart. We just celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary and in those years we’ve built our dream home, had 4 kids (in 5 years), built a full-time hay business and most recently, we bought our farm! We really like to keep things interesting.
A bit more about our main man- Bobby has been involved in farming to some degree for as long as I’ve known him, but this morphed into an even larger part of his life these past 10 years. In 2015, he began farming hay as he acquired local properties, piece by piece, surrounding his family’s farm. Today, Bobby is a first-generation hay & beef farmer, but his passion was nurtured by the very farm he has called home for 20+ years. He has been surrounded and supported by family and close friend’s along the way, all to help bring this dream to life. Bobby’s drive and dedication to the lifestyle is unmatched, the blessing and downfall of doing what you love, right?
As we trek further into this journey, we really wanted to take you along and share pieces of our story with you.
